Six specific objectives underpin VITAL’s main mission:

1. Enhance existing multi-scale and multi-organ models

2. AI-empowered data driven physics-based modelling

3.  Validate and demonstrate the added value of virtual human twin models for patients and health care professionals to guide the personalised, sex-specific treatment of complex, multi-organ circulation overload disorders in as unbiased a way as is possible

4. Virtual human twins driven and trusted by healthcare professionals, patients and citizens

5. Unlock data, modelling software and technologies for open and free use by the scientific community and industry for research, development, teaching and increasing awareness among citizens, healthcare professionals, scientific CV societies and health authorities.

6. Develop a business strategy and exploitation plan for VITAL technology that ensures the technology is fully aligned with ethical, legal, and regulatory guidelines for integration into valorisation and business strategies of VITAL members.
